Wednesday, April 22, 2009. We try to be green. We have all energy efficient lightbulbs in our home. We recyle everything. We try not to leave the lights on and try not to leave the water running. We only wash a full load of dishes in the dishwasher. We have all energy efficient appliances including washer and dryer. I try to use towels instead of paper towels when possible. About 5 months ago I realized that 30 was going to be tougher than I thought, so I figured any sort of distraction and/or added celebration would make it easier to swallow. Saturday, August 30, 2008. Welcome to Saturday Project #5. I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our Saturday Project Team:. We then tried to make a dent in the cabinet staining process. The upper cabinets are done on one side, so we're working our way through the lower ones. I was on drawer duty and Jon did the actual cabinets. We've managed to pay off somewhere in the neighborhood of $14,000 since January 1st and we are in absolute awe of that fact. We give all praise and thanksgiving to God for giving us the inspiration and promise that He would take care of it if we would make the commitment to get out of debt. Neither one of them heard that wrasckly Easter Bunny (thank goodness they didn’t associate that with. What’s a holiday without our front porch pics? Mom made brisket, potato salad, and cole slaw for lunch. My contribution was bags of chips, store-bought dip, and a box of frosted sugar cookies! Still, it was a GREAT lunch! Next up… The egg hunt!
