Day 1: Friday, March 22. We decided we wanted to spend as much time in the city as possible, so we chose a 7:35 am flight from Nashville. I absolutely love flying and was so excited to do it again after five years. One of my favorite restaurants that I had remembered from our last trip there is George's. Which is just a few blocks away from my godfather's house. We had lunch there, and I couldn't have asked for a better first meal in NYC. Day 2: Saturday, March 23. Oh MetroCard, how I miss using you!

DC Bullets Softball: June 2012
http://dcbulletssoftball.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29, 2012. Early Lead Holds Up, as Bullets Top Scientific American. After Christine Napolitano lined out to start the bottom of the second, Pat, Laura Demoreuille and Neil Hiremath singled in sequence to add a run. Allison Dugas-Behan's fielder's choice and Dan Bertoldi's groundout ended the frame. In the fourth, Neil's lead off single was wasted, but DC added two runs in the fifth when Mike and Andrew picked up one-out singles, moved into scoring position on Kevin's chopper to the mound, and...

DC Bullets Softball: May 2013

Friday, May 31, 2013. Can't Win for Losing. I don't usually use this space to loudly call out problems I see on the team, but one clear trend this season has been worrisome. Turnout at McGees has been pathetic. Absolutely awful. Thursday night, Andrew, Taylor, CNap and I were there - that's it. Four Bullets and Thursday night was a pretty good night compared to some other Thursdays this summer. This is shameful behavior. What would LP say? Struggled to put runners on and failed to capitalize when they did.

Friday, July 19, 2013. Bullets Win Scorcher over Paris Review. Holding Paris Review scoreless in the third, the Bullets pushed their lead to three runs. Again, three one-out singles loaded the bases. This time, Emily, Impulse and Andrew 2 were aboard, and it was Taylor socking a two-run double. DC, however, missed a chance to score even more when CNap popped up on the infield and Bill flew out to center. 2B/RF Christine Napolitano - 2-4, 2 R. CF Bill McLaughlin - 2-4, 2 R. P Emily Winter - 4-4, R, RBI.

DC Bullets Softball: Superman is Totally Stronger than the Hulk: DC Overpowers Marvel
http://dcbulletssoftball.blogspot.com/2013/08/superman-is-totally-stronger-than-hulk.html
Friday, August 9, 2013. Superman is Totally Stronger than the Hulk: DC Overpowers Marvel. It turned out not to matter. Then both teams huddled under umbrellas and DC’s handy tarp-across-the-dugout during a ten-minute downpour that delayed the game. The remainder of the evening would be marked by light drizzle and a ten-pound, sopping wet softball that was hard to throw and harder to crush. 3B Mike Lorah – 3-4, 3 R, 5 RBI, triple, home run. SS Andrew Arnold – 1-4, R, 3 RBI. P Larry Ganem – 1-3, R. C Taylo...
