The ramblings of an old artist and someone who would like to grow better bonsais trees. The Art of Whisky. The Art of Cider. My Bonsai, what started it all off. Greatly neglected and though kept alive were sorely left to their own devices and it is only now since I have shrugged off the responsibilities of a gallery, staff, PAYE returns Vat etc.etc. that I have been able to try and give them some of the care and attention that they deserve and sort them out a bit. Sally's Bridge Bonsai | bonsai and garden | Page 2

https://sallysbridge.wordpress.com/page/2

Sally's Bridge Bonsai. December 26, 2016. Sally's Bridge Bonsai. This blackthorn was a weed seedling collected from a garden in Spring 2014. it had grown well in a fertile garden bed so the trunk is thick but still still has young bark. Today I played with a cheapo rotary tool and attempted some carving. I will grow it on for a while to thicken the branches and do some clip and grow in the next few years. December 14, 2016. Soil pH and Bonsai. May 22, 2016. May 22, 2016. The pH of the soil is important as it affects the control of the solubility of different minerals. Different minerals are available to plant roots at different pH levels. What is available and can dissolve at a low pH, will not be available at a high pH as the solubility of the mineral is effected. Soil pH also has an effect on soil structure and the activity of soil organisms. What do you water your trees with? Inspiration – where to get it from. You are c...
