Others proceeded to say congratulations and ask questions such as, where are you adopting from? Do you know if it is a boy or girl, etc? Diapers. We were learning about him and he was learning about us. One thing we did not have to learn but felt the instant we saw ...Even ...

A Family is Born. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Open Adoption: Not So Simple Math. I WANTED my son to become the kind of person who appreciates the beauty of the world around him, so I smiled when, at 6, he asked to borrow my camera in case he saw “something beautiful.” . http://understandingmydaughter.blogspot.com/2009/07/update.html
One Mother's Journey to Understanding Childhood Anxiety. Anx-i-e-ty (ang-zi-i-te) n. 1. A treatable yet overwhelming sense of apprehension, worry and/or fear, marked by physical and psychological symptoms. Wednesday, July 1, 2009. After a really rough week, we are starting to see some improvements. With the end of school, our vacation just around the corner, Alex's birthday parties and the house being invaded by contractors, Alex's poor little tummy was in knots last week. Our New Addition: All I want for Christmas is Elmo Live Encore
http://our-new-addition.blogspot.com/2009/12/all-i-want-for-christmas-is-elmo-live.html
Thursday, December 3, 2009. All I want for Christmas is Elmo Live Encore. After Tyler's finalization we headed out to the mall for a little visit with Santa. I was worried that Tyler would be scared of him and cry, but he didn't! We were the first ones there to greet Santa and there was no line behind us so we got to take a lot of pics. The hardest part was that they would only let you choose one for your photos for the photo cd. Cullen wont get within 5 ft of Santa. December 14, 2009 at 12:18 PM.

Our New Addition: Another miracle
http://our-new-addition.blogspot.com/2010/02/another-miracle.html
Sunday, February 21, 2010. So in early December we sent in our application to Adoption STAR (the Buffalo agency that helped match us up with Tyler). At about the same time, one of my STAR friends was over for a playdate. We knew instantly that we were going to choose to work with both agencies - hoping to double our chances of finding a match. Called to tell us that we had been chosen to parent a baby, gender unknown, due any day. We were ecstatic! We got THE call that birthmom. Was in labor. We got ...

Our New Addition: March 2009
http://our-new-addition.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Tyler has had a very eventful 6th week! He turned 6 weeks old while on our trip to Florida. His Uncle Jeff got married last Friday right on the beach! Here's a quick overview of our week:. Wednesday - This was Tyler's very first plane ride as we flew out of Rochester and headed to Tampa. He was very good for the entire flight although he was wide awake for most of it! Friday - The BIG day arrived! It was of course his first trip to Disney. He also rode his first "roller coast...
