Wednesday, September 07, 2005. The 2005 shenandoah mountain 100. Standing on the starting line on sunday morning i honestly wasn't sure what this year's shenandoah mountain 100. I'd driven down the day before with matt and his wife katie, set up camp with the MORE. On their singlespeeds. saw chris redlack for the first of many times. Jon and i headed out of aid station 4 just after matt. Markie, and mark wigfield came into the aid station while i was there and after about 15 minutes i left with joe and j...

Food for thought (and thoughts on food) from a ravenous cyclist. Thursday, April 01, 2010. Not your typical bar snack. Better than salted peanuts. The lemon adds. A really nice touch of flavor, but takes away from the extreme crunch. Of the fried breading and bones. Try em! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday night was what we hope becomes an annual tradition, a Burns Supper at The Royal Mile Pub in Wheaton, MD. The last time there was a salute to Burns was in 2009, and it was fun to have a reprise. The haggis had a good balance of the mineral flavor of organ meat, but was not too overwhelming. Food for thought (and thoughts on food) from a ravenous cyclist. Tuesday, June 09, 2009. TdF Ladder- Ghost Rider. So cyclingnews.com already posted a Tour de France ladder. See here. Read the third paragraph of Cunego's entry. You'd think riding the race would be a pre-requisite for being included in the ladder, right? Apparently not. Ninth on the ladder, but not participating in the race. Oops! Links to this post. Tuesday, June 02, 2009. Two bottles of Gamay. I hadn't had the bacon before. Despite a...

Food for thought (and thoughts on food) from a ravenous cyclist. Saturday, December 18, 2010. They say, "Nap when they nap.". I say, "TRAIN when they nap.". This is my new reality. I managed to get 20' in while Nora ate with mummy. But then mummy had to run off to yoga. Nora permitted me to ride for another 36' before the cold basement and Sufferfest techno soundtrack got the better of her and she broke down in a screaming fit. Looking forward to more sessions just like that! Links to this post.

Food for thought (and thoughts on food) from a ravenous cyclist. Friday, October 14, 2011. New 'Hood, New Food: bodega taco bar. I aim to make this the first in a series of quick and dirty reviews…trying to keep pace with exploring new eating spots in an entirely new state (for us). Is the taco bar alter-ego to the awesome, dingy, value-oriented Valencia Luncheria. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). New Hood, New Food: bodega taco bar.
