I have undertaken to participate in the Marathon des Sables 2012, a 240km race across the Moroccan Sahara. The event takes place 8-13 April and consists of 6 legs, one of which is a double marathon of 90km. I hope to raise the maximum amount of funds for the Captain James Philippson Trust. Saturday, April 14, 2012. I crossed the line with nothing left, though did make a feeble attempt at a sprint finish - must have looked like a pensioner running for the bus! The last stage was underestimated by many, the first 6k were a steady jog along a nice sold wadi, however the final 10k was straight across some of the biggest dunes in Morocco.
