Experiments in Mechanics: December 2009

http://mechanicalexperiment.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Taking stuff apart, but now on a larger scale than during childhood. Wednesday, December 16, 2009. So I bought this 1976 Honda CB360. What I saw was this 1976 Honda CB360T. I instantly start tearing it down, having never more than taken the dipstick out of a motorcycle to check the oil. Let me tell you it is a much needed experience for a young man. I'm serious you can google that shit. Here is an abbreviated sequence of my work so far:. Tank and seat off. Lots of other stuff removed. Student at UC Davis...

Experiments in Mechanics: Stuff on the way!

http://mechanicalexperiment.blogspot.com/2010/05/stuff-on-way.html

Taking stuff apart, but now on a larger scale than during childhood. Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Stuff on the way! Just ordered a new complete gasket set and a set of stainless allen-head engine bolts. Goodbye oil leaks and stripped phillips-head bolts! Also yesterday I re-routed my front brake line and throttle cables to accommodate the clubman bars. I am slowly chipping away at the list of things to do. Perhaps I should do the same to my list of school work to do too. August 10, 2010 at 11:31 AM. Anyway Im a...

Experiments in Mechanics: January 2010

http://mechanicalexperiment.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Taking stuff apart, but now on a larger scale than during childhood. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Giving her rear end some attention. Here is the swing arm lookin all sexy and whatnot:. The wheel and brake assembly (I just carb cleaned the crap outta the drum and cover so it is fresh and clean), and a closer view of the clean drum:. This one gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, probably because I am a bad photographer. Here is a thing. Next up: Finish this g-d tank! I say farewell for now and happy wrenching!
