With all that’s going on in the world, it’s easy to be humbled and grateful to simply be Canadian. I had to post something on this great day, but I’ll keep it simple. Changing up your creative approach can provide a new way of looking at things. It may be as simple as changing your work location or shifting your work schedule so that you are working at unfamiliar times. Sometimes we just look at our surroundings in a different way. Once we have a colour pallet selected it is nice to let the colours interact and overlap. Though it is an elementary concept we really enjoy the moments when transparent colours overlap and create new colours. Similarly to the magical unveiling of a print in our post Enjoyment. The samples below depict 4 overlapping transparent colours and the new colours they create.

Since a majority of our work is done on the computer, we like to look to non-digital processes for new ideas. The lino-print above was a fun experiment. Bakersfield Visual Communications Inc. Andy Warhol is one artist we gain inspiration from. Graphic Pop Art representations align well with our aesthetic preferences.
