Janthony's Journey: The joys, trials, and everything in between. This entry was posted on May 27, 2013, in med school haps. First year of med school : : COMPLETE! What a lonnnggg past two weeks. We can safely say that of our 18 years of academia each, the past two weeks required the most endurance. After completing 4 days of finals for spring quarter, we had a short weekend break before we were hit with 4 finals covering information from the entire year. But, we survived! It’s a nice break from stu...

We have mock boards and cumulative finals coming up in only a few weeks! It’s a fun-filled frenzy of studying, studying, and just a little more studying to go with that studying. We’re putting a pause on the blog for the next couple weeks until after tests. See you then! Meanwhile, enjoy these memes. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

wanderlust: #20 The Road Trip
http://justjlee.blogspot.com/2012/06/20-road-trip.html
Fanciful musings as I wander about. Sunday, June 3, 2012. 20 The Road Trip. I've always wanted to journey cross country on a long road trip. To experience the various regions of the US in their raw form. There's so much to see! Now that I'm out of school I have the time to travel but unfortunately, I'm still under budget constraints to take such a trip. I did get an opportunity for a (mini) road trip up to Bend, Oregon! Oregon is so green! I use antlers in all my decorating! Such an adrenaline rush!
wanderlust: The 25 one
http://justjlee.blogspot.com/2011/11/25-one.html
Fanciful musings as I wander about. Saturday, November 26, 2011. Yesterday, November 25, 2011 was my 6th week of being 25 years old. Why is that important? Well, because I pierced my ears on my 25th bday and 6 weeks marks when I can change my studs into fun earrings! Today I wore the fun beaded earrings I purchased when I was in Africa! Here was my motivation to pierce my ears. On a different note, my friend JP had a bucket list. Stay posted for more. Wow, how exciting! I cant wait to hear what else is o...

Fanciful musings as I wander about. Sunday, May 20, 2012. 21 The bike ride to the beach. I love the beach. I love riding my bike. Why not ride my bike to the beach? That's exactly why it's been on my list of things to do while 25, and now I can say, it's been done! I tracked most of the ride on my phone, my longest ride - 46 miles! Beauty (my Felt) and the beach! Beauty needs to meet my Giada, my Bianchi! July 9, 2012 at 4:34 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
wanderlust: The halfway point
http://justjlee.blogspot.com/2012/04/halfway-point.html
Fanciful musings as I wander about. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. A little while back. I talked about a bucket list of things I wanted to do while I'm 25 years old. With some help from my friends, I've made a list and checked it twice (but honestly it can still change). Here is what I've come up with:. 1 Get my ears pierced. 2 Read the Bible in a year. 3 Write more letters. 4 Send a message in a bottle. 5 Learn how to pour a latte (latte art). 6 Go to a Drive-In movie. 7 Go to LA Art Walk. 19 Read 25 books.

Med School Stories
Going through medical school and residency was an amazing experience. Full of surprises, laughter, tears, fears, self-searching, and most of all learning. What I learned was much more than what is written in text books and taught in class. I will share some of my stories on this blog. For those who are used to reading my Lyme blog, please be aware this blog is much more graphic and uses adult language. The graphic nature of some of the stories are not meant for the faint of heart. I am approaching the en...

Vasovagal Syncope | medical school has a funny way of making you question your life decisions
Medical school has a funny way of making you question your life decisions. March 26, 2011. Our attending pulled over a respiratory therapist to the side yesterday. 8220;How is Mr. M doing today? I’d like to send my students up to see him,” he said after jovial greetings only a physician of the old guard can provide. It barely registered to us that Doc came back to face all of us. The RT was gone. We could not do much else but mumble variations of “I’m sorry” to Doc, even though Mr. ...We were not given v...
