We are adventure.us. When the house came up for sale, we purchased it and later on, in 1999, we were able to turn the house and the beautiful grounds into a popular wedding venue. I manage the Hastings House as a wedding venue, continue to paint and sell my artwork, and take photographs. We are adventure.us. A Local Since…. I moved here when I was 12 years old (1986) from Maui, Hawaii. I started out at Cunha, went through the high school, commuted to Cal State Hayward, married a local boy and have produced second generation coastside children that are attending El Granada elementary school, the same school their uncle attended 30 years ago (my husband was a Hatch Kid). My parents grew up here and both attended Half Moon Bay High School, just like I did. In college, I spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy for three months (an experience of a lifetime, for sure), but other than that, I’ve always lived on the Coastside. 8211; I work as a cashier at New Leaf Community Market here in Half Moon Bay while I’m going to school. Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Well, it's still winter here. We had a few warm days where it got into the 50s, but for the most part it's been miserable and cold.
