Dimanche 22 mai 2011. The temperatures have been unusually warm this year with very little rain. We've been getting a lot of use out of the pool since it has been at 28 degrees for over 2 months now. Dimanche 1 avril 2012. From cold to hot. Oh the pressure to post new pictures. What a beautiful sunny week. We filled up the pool last weekend. Dimanche 12 février 2012. It has been very cold out the past couple of weeks. For the first time since I have been here, the lake at La Tène froze over enough so that people could walk or skate on it. The parking lot was full, it was almost hard to find a place to park. Everyone wanted to test the ice. We went to go check it out. The lake is not very deep here. You can see the sand underneath. It must only be about 20 cm deep. Inscription à : Articles (Atom). Dimanche 22 janvier 2012. For Brandon's 11th birthday he wanted a boum and invited his whole class (21 kids! Alicia got all the loot bags ready. I put helium in the balloons (by the end of the night there were no balloons left thought since they sucked all teh helium out making silly Donald Duck noises). I put different lights up and gliterry things around. They ate chips, pizza and cake. I have loads left over. They were more interested in dancing. Inscription à : Articles (Atom). Lundi 24 septembre 2012. Summer come and gone. School started again just over a month ago and boy is this new school year stressful. Summer came and went so quickly. Here are a couple of pictures. Alicia dressed up as a fairy for a birthday party.. 1st of August Brunch. A big tradition where you go to the farm and eat all local products. Bread, jams, meat, eggs, soup, desserts, etc. It was really good and the weather was perfect. The Old and the Restless. A party I missed. Too bad. Fete de la Cigogne.

Dimanche 30 octobre 2011. As usual, holloween is tolerated in the village but is also organised by the village. It was Friday from 6pm to 8pm (very percise timing, no earlier, no later) so it wouldn't bee too late for the kids and disrupt anyone too late. Alicia was a mix between a Princess and a witch. She went trick or treating with cool vampire Brandon. I had trouble deciding between two paterns that I found. So, I did both. This is my cobra. He is my hunted village. This is the front of our house.
