Schmidt Family: February 2010
http://bhschmidt.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. My little girl turned 5 today! Wow, she is seriously growing up so much. Some days I look at her and tell her you look older.stop growing up! Julia is a sweetie, with lots of spunk! She is getting more girly as she gets older, but can still keep up with the boys. Her teacher says she is the type of girl that will be friends with everyone, not just one clique. She is easy going and loves her friends! We are blessed everyday with Julia and her spirit. Love that girl!

Friday, October 15, 2010. Today marks my 37th week of pregnancy. Mackenzie is now considered to be full-term :) Now beings the waiting game of her arrival! I had a Dr's appt yesterday and everything seems to be progressing normally and Kenzie is strong as ever. We are so thankful for our healthy baby and a fairly uneventful pregnancy. God is so good! Tomorrow, my best friend, Vonna is getting married! I'll post some pictures and more information after the wedding. Friday, October 15, 2010.

Raising A.B.E.L. Thursday, January 29, 2015. To the Tri-met Bus Driver on Stark and 122nd. For just that flash of a moment, it felt like our hearts connected in agreement that: the sun is shining, there is good to be done in the world, and it doesn't take much to help contribute and reap the rewards of a small act of kindness. Raising A.B.E.L.: Rite of Passage
http://chirgies.blogspot.com/2015/04/rite-of-passage.html
Raising A.B.E.L. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Parenting is so complicated. Our first "Rite of Passage" that we have now done with two of our kiddos is the 10 year old chit chat about the birds and the bees and the changes that would be coming down the pike. For our daughter, we made it a fun, overnight get away, mentioned briefly here. Called {Transition Resources}, with articles and books that I want to reference in the future that can also hopefully be helpful for others as well. The Pritchard Family and t...

Raising A.B.E.L.: Darndest things...
http://chirgies.blogspot.com/2014/11/darndest-things.html
Raising A.B.E.L. Saturday, November 29, 2014. Several of them to share. Me: I'm sorry for being a grumpy Mommy tonight. Luke: That's OK. If I was a Mommy, I'd be WAAAAAY worse. Somehow at dinner tonight, the subject of hens and roosters came up. The kids were telling how the roosters fertilize the eggs, so we can have chicks. Then Luke pipes up, "Just like the fertilizer that Mommy puts on the roses." (Ya honey, just like that! With this cold, dry air, my kiddos lips have been chapped!
