Patty and Rich´s 'Round the World Adventure. Monday, July 30, 2007. From the Isle of Mainland. After visiting Oban, we made our way to the North East of Scotland – the. The main island in Orkney (and Shetland as well) is called Mainland. Funny, for an island area off an island nation. We had one nights stay in. A pretty seaside town with a nice riverwalk, before catching the ferry North. Using Stromness as a basecamp, we rented bikes for a couple of days to ride out to some local archaeological sites.

Patty and Rich´s 'Round the World Adventure. Friday, August 31, 2007. Cesky Krumlov and Hungary (backdated). We caught a transport van into Linz, Austria, where we got a train to Hungary. In Hungary we had our last night of camping, and struggled with the language Sopron. We did see the pretty amazing Palace of Eszterházy before heading to Budapest. This is us in the palace grounds. Patty and Rich´s 'Round the World Adventure. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Well I've successfully made it to my 4th decade. Which makes me sounds a lot older than 30, but that's how it is. So, this year will have a lot of different new adventures from last year - less wondering where we'll be sleeping tomorrow night, and more figuring out which dining room table to buy. Rich is already off to orientation with SalesForce.com, and I'll leave shortly for my first day at 2Wire. We're excited to start, if a little nostalgic at the end of our year of freedom. Patty and Rich´s 'Round the World Adventure. Tuesday, September 25, 2007. On day two we took a taxi to the pyramid sites of Dahshur. And Giza. We arranged a driver through our hostel, and set off for Dahshur. After retrieving my newly expanded passport from the American Embassy. The site at Dahshur. We then went to the stepped pyramid at Saqqara. We visited an on site. I think this would keep some of the would be guides away, but you'd have less time and freedom to wander.
