Response #9 – Swain and Lapkin. Noticing and being conscious of our learning and shortcomings has more than the function of a monitor. This consciousness is a very important aspect of learning in my opinion, because it can give us a greater sense of motivation by being more connected to this language that is becoming a part of who we are.
