Rewinding Life Just For You: Louisiana Children's Museum
http://ourfamilyinrewind.blogspot.com/2010/12/louisiana-childrens-museum.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. John's Christmas break started on Wednesday, so to kick things off we took everyone to the Children's Museum. This place is perfect for Bentley because he can hop from one activity to the next and never get bored. There are so many fun things to do at the museum and he made sure to show Braden all of his favorite stations. Unloading the goods at the "grocery store". Making Mom and hot dog for lunch at the Cafe. He'd make a cute scientist, don't you think? Casen @ One Month.

Rewinding Life Just For You: Christmas Day
http://ourfamilyinrewind.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-day.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. If you will remember, Bentley only asked Santa for one thing this year. A pink present.maybe a book. So when we woke him up on Christmas morning he was thrilled to see a pink present waiting for him under the tree in his room! The boys modeling the hats that Aunt Kristin made for them. Casen slept through all of the gift opening, so here he is later with his presents. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Casen @ One Month. Simple template. Powered by Blogger.

The Cook Sisters: Poached Salmon on Citrus Salad
http://thecooksisters.blogspot.com/2011/05/poached-salmon-on-citrus-salad.html
Saturday, May 21, 2011. Poached Salmon on Citrus Salad. I make this salmon at work, it is super easy and they seem to love it. 4 (4oz) skinless salmon fillets, about 1 inch thick. 1/4 cup olive oil. 2 Tbs cooking oil. 6 wonton wrappers, cut 1/2-inch thick strips. 4 cups arugula or baby spinach. 2 Meanwhile, for dressing, in bowl whisk together reserved juice, olive oil, and sugar; season with salt and pepper. I didn't make the wontons to go with this recipe, but I'm sure they are probably good with it.

The Cook Sisters: Creamy Baked Risotto
http://thecooksisters.blogspot.com/2011/05/creamy-baked-risotto.html
Wednesday, May 18, 2011. I am trying to get away from always making plain white rice, so I thought I would give this recipe a try. It was delicious! It was also easy, so I will definitely make it again. It's from the "Cook's Country" magazine. 5 c low-sodium chicken broth (be sure to use this or it will be salty). 4 T unsalted butter. 2 c Arborio rice. 3 garlic cloves, minced. 1 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese. 1 T chopped fresh parsley (I used dried parsley and added it when I added the rice).

Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Anyway, a quick update on Casen since it is late and sleep is hard to come by in this place! Yesterday and today have been really good days for Casen! His mobility has been pretty limited until today because of his pain and even more so because of his catheter, but we spent a lot of time yesterday building train tracks, racing cars, coloring, and doing puzzles in his bed. I am so glad hes feeling better! Best news Ive heard all day! We are all praying our hearts out over here!

Rewinding Life Just For You: Setbacks
http://ourfamilyinrewind.blogspot.com/2012/09/setbacks.html
Sunday, September 9, 2012. Napping with some of his favorite comforts. We were given the good news yesterday morning that Casen could slowly begin to introduce solid foods back into his diet! Let me remind you that the last time he has eaten anything was Monday evening, so this was a BIG deal for all of us! Two wonderful visitors also got in town yesterday, Grammy and Nana! I've missed his little face! A day of babysitting turned into a week and Jami has never made me feel like it was a burden. Melianie,...
