Wire Sculpture - Mel Day
Themes that are recurrent include, man as natural being and our relationship to the natural world. I also am inspired by storytelling and mythology often creating my own visual narrative. My latest pieces have a links to circus and writers or readers. I am also enjoying writing in wire either just a word, a line or whole sections of poetry or prose. I have started experimenting with mixing media including wood and ceramic. I hope that my work conveys thoughtful ideas whilst maintaining energy and humour.
