Meldrum Bay is located at the western-most tip of Manitoulin Island. As you arrive at the village by road you’ll round the last curve in Highway 540 and catch your first glimpse of the waters of the Bay and the sailboats, yachts and fishing boats moored at the docks. Boaters recognize Meldrum Bay as the first Canada Customs port for those traveling east from Michigan and American ports beyond. The coordinates of the marina are 45 55' 32.96 N 83 06' 50.19 W Elevation 177m. Click for ferry information.

Meldrum Bay Marina is well equipped to service seasonal dockers as well as transient boaters, and is open to all boats with deep water access. The marina is open for business from mid-June to mid-September. Seasonal dockage on south docks starts on June 1, 2016 and ends on September 15, 2016. Ice, diesel, and gas are available from 8 am to 8 pm. We also service the motoring public with gas and diesel as needed. All prices are without applicable taxes. Boat Slips- South Docks. 60000 under 30 ft.

The Point Park campground is conveniently situated across the street from the Meldrum Bay Inn and the Meldrum Bay Country Store. Fourteen sites are available, some with hydro, and all with breathtaking views of the Bay. A boat launch, visitor parking and boat slip rentals are available at reasonable rates on a daily, weekly or seasonal basis. All prices are without applicable taxes. Camp site with hydro. 3000 plus $5.00 per person per day. Camp site without hydro. 2500 plus $5.00 per person per day.

Settled in the 1870's and named after a town in Scotland, Meldrum Bay developed as a fishing and lumbering centre. In times past, ships ferried freight and passengers the eighteen miles across the North Channel from Blind River and from Southern Ontario and Michigan, steamships loaded the locally-milled lumber on the Meldrum Bay docks, and commercial fishermen and yachtsman kept the wharfingers busy.

The Community Hall hosts the Annual Beef BBQ on the Civic Holiday Weekend in August. In February, a Poker Run/Chili Luncheon is held to signal the beginning of the end of winter. Euchre is held weekly on Friday evenings throughout the year. St Andrew’s United Church has a service on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am.
