A few essential things…. And the journey continues…. Archive for September, 2009. In Chaos there lies Opportunity. On September 12, 2009 2 Comments. Quick Update: Rock the River was incredible. Never have I felt so free to worship and so excited to jump around, especially when Kirk Franklin got on stage (By far, the best performance of the night)! Many commited their life to Christ that day and it was a blessing to be a part of it all.]. In my workplace parking lot. After all of this chaotic mess, I figu...

A few essential things…. And the journey continues…. An Incredible God, Part II. August 5, 2009 by melissaroussin. Missions, Evangelism and Reconciliation. These were the first three words I saw as I opened up the website to African Enterprise. They were also the three words that made my heart skip a beat (oh yes! THEY WANT ME TO COME TO AFRICA! Over those next few weeks, I gathered more information and began formulating a plan for when I could begin my journey to Africa, still unsure if this was. If tha...

A few essential things…. And the journey continues…. Laquo; Week 2. Why do the bugs always seem to find me? December 27, 2009 by melissaroussin. Can I just tell you that within the past 12 hours I have had a cockroach come crawling out of my breakfast plate and a HUGE black and yellow spider drop down onto my shoulder and onto my computer…. AHHHHHH! On a lighter note, Susie and I got to see our first Rwandan soccer game on Saturday! We played for a few hours that night and made plans to play again the ne...

This weekend is the used book Library sale, and today I went back for the second time. To buy more books. Not that the first 14 weren’t enough, but i realized i left a few holes that needed to be filled, book-wise. So went back and bought more. Officially married over one month now. I keep waiting to feel different about my relationship now that we’re married, but I think we handled the adjustment into married life before the wedding. Is that anti-climactic? A few essential things…. And the journey continues…. March 19, 2010 by melissaroussin. Confession #1: I have been SERIOUSLY spoiled when it comes to using the Internet whenever I want to. After waiting around for 45 minutes until I could hitch a ride to the café with wireless internet, I arrive here to discover that the electricity has been down for the past few hours and there is no access to internet. Argh! Haha ohhh how I love African time! On Saturday, the Aussie’s and I went to Didas’ home in Ruheng...

I know what you’re thinking: after a month and a half of being back in the United States after 6 months, why would she just be posting this last blog now? She answered by picking up one of the starfish, tossing it into the water, and saying, it matters to this one. Before embarking on this life-changing journey, I jotted down a journal entry that went like this:. Posted by: The Imagined Life.

Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Downloading and opening EBSCO e-books on a Google Nexus tablet. So, last night I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep for a few hours. Since my brain wouldn't shut up, I decided to put it to use on a problem I had been wondering about for a while: how to get my library's EBSCO e-books to work on my tablet. I have no idea how these instructions would need to be modified for anything else, but I'm fairly certain iPads would need to use different software than what I'll be listing.
