Nair • Different but the same
http://differentbutthesame.com/nair
Different but the same. Bull; Health and Beauty. Nair, most commonly known (or at least used to be) for asking who wears short shorts, is something I tried once and left it alone after that. I was always a little weirded out that you can roll on this glop, let it sit and it removes hair but doesn’t harm your skin? The new package uses the same color theme but seems a little more…I don’t know, cold and clinical? Nair: Old or New? So for that reason alone I’d prefer the old package but I also think i...

Breyers Yogurt • Different but the same

Different but the same. While I like the simplicity and lid on the old package, I think the new package looks more eye-catching and still manages not to look too busy. Breyers yougurt: Old or New? Larr; Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa. February 25, 2013. I am going to break with tradition and actually vote “new” this time! It’s a rare package that makes me vote “new” compared to its old counterpart, but I am SO not a fan of that very ’80s crayon scribble on the old container. *shudder*. July 17, 2016. July 17, 2016.

Taking the discarded and making it arted. Monday, February 25, 2013. Getting the Word Out. Photo credit: Taima Kern/The Reporter Media. Good morning, dear readers! It's so nice to be back! I apologize for my lengthy absence but many of my art deadlines have passed and I'm able to write again. And speaking of writing, the tables have been turned on me - I have been the subject of a very lovely article in our local paper! When I learned that The Reporter. I still can't believe that I am able to write about...

Ephemeraology: I'm a-Pickin' - and I'm also a-Grinnin'!
http://www.ephemeraology.com/2013/08/im-pickin-and-im-also-grinnin.html
Taking the discarded and making it arted. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. I'm a-Pickin' - and I'm also a-Grinnin'! Hee hee - sorry for the terrible "Hee Haw" reference. In the title - but it's pretty appropriate! I had the most amazing experience a couple of weeks ago - a real, live pick! And some of the items we found were almost 100 years old. Oh my goodness gracious me. You can see us picking through one of the ENORMOUS boxes in the warehouse, here:. Alright, enough talk - onto the actual ephemera we picked!

Ephemeraology: September 2012
http://www.ephemeraology.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Taking the discarded and making it arted. Friday, September 28, 2012. The "Pleasant" People in your Neighborhood. My dear readers, I am closing in on my 500th POST. It is most exciting, but it's also odd that even though my blog is inherently nostalgic, I've never really discussed the affliction from which most of us "suffer". And when I saw these wonderful die cuts yesterday at the Fox Valley Antique Mall-. KA-POW. That "nostalgia" hit me right in the solar plexus. And they had to be mine. :). When I sa...

Ephemeraology: January 2013
http://www.ephemeraology.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Taking the discarded and making it arted. Monday, January 28, 2013. Game, Set, MATCH! I LOVE great design. If you're on Pinterest, you'll eventually run into someone who is posting images of these fantastic Czech matchbox labels from the 60s and 70s. I have quite a few and they're my favorites of all of my matchbook labels, in a collection that is getting embarrassingly large. :D. Let's take a look at some labels that will most definitely be used at some point:. SWOON* They're all so lovely, aren't they?

Ephemeraology: October 2012
http://www.ephemeraology.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Taking the discarded and making it arted. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Remember when I said that I was going to take the week before the election and talk about the political ephemera in my collection? Well, I'm taking a break, because today is the day that I hang my exhibit:. I am beside myself with excitement. I have been working on this project for the last year and a half, from conception to the final framing. I hope you don't mind that I use my blog as a platform today! Thanks for indulging me today...

Ephemeraology: A Tack-y Post
http://www.ephemeraology.com/2012/04/tack-y-post.html
Taking the discarded and making it arted. Friday, April 20, 2012. So terribly sorry for the pun. On second thought, nope! I just had to share with you one of the cutest things I've ever seen - so naturally, I had to have some for my very own! I am in love with these. I got them at an online shop called Tiny Things are Cute. And this product certainly lives up to that name! SO tiny - maybe 1/4" wide? I'll probably pop off the pin portion and just use the plastic part, but that's the good part anyway!
