The Thiers: Ham and Turkey Croissants
http://www.thethiers.com/2014/12/ham-and-turkey-croissants.html
Sunday, December 14, 2014. Ham and Turkey Croissants. In this home, we agree on many things. Except food. Somehow we've created little connoisseurs that think very differently about their preferred menus. But tonight, a slight miracle occurred. I made a meal creatively, using a couple of recipes as a guide, and I managed to please everyone, myself included. I have no photos, but here's what I did. Simple and delicious! Turkey, and ham in you preferred, chopped finely. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

The Thiers: The Carlins Adoption Day
http://www.thethiers.com/2014/11/the-carlins-adoption-day.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. The Carlins Adoption Day. I want to include this on our blog because it was such an honor to be a part of something so special for our friends’ family. The Carlins have been our friends for a few years now, and we have watched them go through foster training, then receive 2 children and adjust from having 4 kids to having 6. What a journey! If you ever get a chance to attend something like this, do it. You’ll be glad. The Carlin kids posing with their grandma.

The Thiers: It’s Amazing What God Can Do (Happy Anniversary, Chuck)

Tuesday, December 2, 2014. It’s Amazing What God Can Do (Happy Anniversary, Chuck). 8221; Her response: “ It’s amazing what God can do. And it’s amazing what God did in the span of a few days on that camping trip. I had a lot on my mind, and this getaway with family was just what I needed to process the events unfolding. I had been friends with Chuck Thier for over 2 years. In that time, I’d analyzed him from every angle. How did he relate to his family? How did he control his temper? My confidence waver...

Back and survey all the ways you’ ve. Grown and things you’ ve. For most every p. Your life so far, I have thought, “This is the best phase yet. I don’t want to move forward. Don’t grow up any more.”. Then you subtly slip or boldly bound into the next phase and I think the same thing all over again. Child and my naiveté. You are incredi...

Noun): the informal exchange of ideas by spoken words. April 30, 2009. Two weeks ago JD and I spent a long four day weekend in NYC to celebrate our five year anniversary. What made it especially great was that Morgan stayed behind with Grandpa and Grandma Schlueter (thanks Dad and Mom) and did wonderfully (so now we know we can do this again! JD had visited NYC on a few previous occasions, but it was my inaugural trip. And choosing to visit in the spring was a good choice. We did see the Statue of Libert...

Noun): the informal exchange of ideas by spoken words. October 11, 2009. So here's the chronology of how we got to Saturday. August 2008: I turn 30 and my metabolism decides it no longer likes me. September 2008: Morgan turns one and I quit nursing. Now where will all those extra calories go? Holidays '08-09: I eat like a pig, counting on my turbo metabolism to even everything out for me post holidays. Aug-Oct 2009: Oh the training! Seriously people, I played softball growing up. My extent of running...

Noun): the informal exchange of ideas by spoken words. September 10, 2009. Winding down the summer. What Morgan learned this trip: That it stinks to sleep in a pack-n-play in the bathroom. This is a major downside to not renting a suite. Next time we may look into a condo even. All in all, a really great trip! And nice to know that we have a close 2 1/2 hour beach getaway available to us next time we get the hankering. Now we just wait for the Texas heat to get the message that summer is over.

While I was getting lunch ready yesterday, Morgan decided to kill time by hanging out with Sasha. Sasha usually isn't too tolerant of Morgan sitting on her mat; thankfully, she was distracted by her bone this time. Of course, by time Morgan got up, her fleece pants were coated in white dog fur. Awesome. HmmmCan I try some of that? Christmas...
