The technology used in order to do this is based on Adobe Flash, so in order to participate, users must have installed the proprietary flash player, which is available from here. Writing experiments in the form of flash movies which collect responses and send them back to a central database means that users' own computers can be used to ensure that displays are presented accurately and for the correct duration.
