So if the literary genius read General Pervez Musharraf's memoir, In The Line of Fire, What would he say? Musharraf labels rot as rot, and if his story is to be believed he never would be a dictator, nor does he support the interference of the military into politics, as he explains at length,...

Making Money in the Middle East. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Is Corruption always Bad? Don't you love it when people start a blog post/speech/op-ed/paper with a leading question? And a committee (presumably appointed by Maliki? The now deceased Moroccan King Hassan V's pantheon, I mean mosque, to his own piety in Casablanca, the ...

Making Money in the Middle East. Monday, December 29, 2008. Are We Too Pessimistic? At the risk of making comparisons of news stories and opinions a theme of this blog, two articles caught my eye today: Tom Friedman's op-ed in today's New York Times, "Win, Win, Win, Win, Win.". And an op-ed by Patrick Seale in Gulf News last Friday entitled, " Arab world faces uneasy new year. And the probability of a return to "normal" grows somewhat slim. Monday, December 22, 2008. Making Money in the Middle East: What to Say about Iran?
http://middleeastmoney.blogspot.com/2009/06/what-to-say-about-iran.html
Making Money in the Middle East. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. What to Say about Iran? I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention anything about the events in Iran since last Friday but I am not sure I have much to say or even know how to begin to wrap my head around everything. There are so many moving parts to this story that I don't know where to place them all at this point. Some things that interest me/bother me (in no discernible order)-. What does one make of it? And an organization called FiveThirtyEight.
