Tuesday, August 4, 2015. I leave the room for five minutes and I come back to this, lol! She truly is a toddler. Yesterday at work I turned around and found Raygen sleeping on the chair. She woke up at 5am ready to start her day and by 3pm she needed a cat nap. She is so wonderful. There is never a dull moment with Raygen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://thenewleftheartkid.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A resource for children thriving with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. About a month ago, I was contacted by a young man with HLHS with a great deal of wisdom and a great story to tell. Meet Andrew, HLHS survivor, age 22. He is a college student studying anthropology, enjoys traveling, competitive road cycling, and has a goal to advance patient advocacy in healthcare. Andrew was kind enough to answer what I think are common questions asked by parents of children with HLHS.

A resource for children thriving with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Thursday, March 1, 2012. Over the past year I have connected with many parents of children with HLHS. Everyone says the same thing – We wouldn’t have it any other way, I wouldn’t change a thing. I understand this, I really do, but parents in the future will have options we never had – fetal intervention and gene therapy. A resource for children thriving with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. I often have heart parents in the early stages of palliation ask me questions about my older HLHS child. This is said of many experienced heart parents. So how did we become the “experts? 8221; By default I suppose. Who better to talk to about everyday life with a heart baby than a parent who has been through it? Sunday, September 18, 2011. UPDATE: April 2015- Gracelyn had her Fontan surgery on April 27, 2015. She flew through the procedure and recovery. It didn't happen immediately, but by day two she was a beautiful shade of pink.
