HOW TO BECOME A STARFISH SCHOLAR:. Students must apply to Starfish during their 8th grade year. Starfish will begin accepting applications on January 1, 2016 for the high school graduating class of 2020. Students must attend a Scholar Candidate Class at their school or at the Starfish office. 8th grade guidance counselors will schedule presentations for their 8th grade students in January and February of 2016.
