Reflections Magazine – Laura Merchant Design

A ladies’ magazine that is written by women, for women, sponsored by the Ladies Ministries of the United Pentecostal Church International and edited by Melody Reever. The size of the magazine is 5.375″x8.375″ which is similar to Reader’s Digest and easily fits in a woman’s purse. This project was designed while working as an in-house designer for Pentecostal Publishing House. This preview is modified with permission from the original version which was mailed. In addition to adding a lot of the graphics and html to this page, I also did some custom CSS styling to the site. Flying Colors Canine Academy. The first design I got to do for Flying Colors Canine Academy was some rack cards that taught new mothers how to introduce the new baby to their dog. Flying Colors gave me a huge compliment by not only allowing me to redesign a lot of their print items, but by telling me they want to keep coming back because I did more professional and “cuter” designs than anyone they had previously worked with!
