Who didn't hear those words coming from a seemingly calm Mother seated in the front passenger seat of the car, directed to the children duking it out in the back seat? What exactly does fight nice mean? Does it mean no punches in the general face area? Does it mean no kidney shots? Does it really mean that you are allowed to fight but there are certain guidelines in place? My question is, is there an alternative to 'The Fight'? Will that solve it? I am a far...

Monday, September 26, 2011. I have two younger brothers. (No this is not a suck up blog, as far as I know I haven't done anything? Anyway, my brothers are both incredible people. I'm not sure why I haven't written about them before. They have both influenced my life in different ways. They have taught me how to relate better than any other two people ever have. They are different from each other, yet they are both men of character and strength. Long, long ago.Jay, Me and Trav. It really is a type! Bob to...

Yeah, I've been trying to find out what brings me life? Did you find it? I have looked and have seen that the busyness of the world can go on without me for some moments of genuine, face-to-face conversation, heart throbbing dancing, and soul renewing rest. Friday, February 17, 2012. I admit there are somethings about technology that I find convenient and wonderful. I'm a fan of my ipod. Music is fabulous and this tiny square of technology is loaded with hundreds of songs and allows me to listen anywhere, anytime. I also like the machines that make my life easier like the dishwasher, washer and dryer. I. Imagine doing laundry on a rock in the river? NOT a real word - aghh! I wonder if the world was ever unplugged if we could survive? Links to this post.

SeeLisaWrite: Wise Guys
http://seelisawrite.blogspot.com/2013/12/wise-guys.html
Wednesday, December 11, 2013. During the Advent season this year our family has been doing some daily readings that basically retell the Christmas story. Today's reading was about the star that the wise men saw. I thought about this star and about those wise guys all morning while ironing, making beds, and washing floors. I had thoughts that I had never had before about what all this might mean. (I love time spent inside my brain! Oh, for the love of manual labor! Why did they feel the urge to seek Him?

Saturday, January 4, 2014. It's late.or maybe it's early. In any case, sleep is not happening. My word looms over me and asks to be said aloud. What are you talking about, Girl? You really are tired. Let me explain. Dang, Girl.it's about time! The freedom that humble brings has no strings attached, no proving myself worthy, no judgment or comparisons to others, no responsibilities to the ambitions of others, no self-righteous anger, no drama-queen antics, no justifications, no point-proving.
