The most common type of geothermal installation is a closed loop system. The heat exchanger, a loop of PE100 pipe filled with antifreeze is installed vertically or horizontally. Manufactured from polyethylene (PE100 ) for heat recovery through enclosed vertical or horizontal pipe systems. Grouting up of loops is recommended using the Tremie method which can be used with a Tremie reel or as part of the loop. Weights can be added to the bottom of loops to help overcome bouyancy due to drilling mud.
