We were warned that the rain would come. Overnight Friday with the worst of the storm arriving Saturday afternoon, but the rain has just started. At 719am the rain finally started beating on my roof. I have been up since about 630am doing some homework (so much for sleeping in) and the rain is actually kind of soothing. Going Going Back Back to Cali Cali. Over Father's Day weekend I took a trip to San Diego with Omar. Work brought Gina out West from August of last year until just two weeks ago. She visited in May for the long weekend and took Mia back to San Diego with her. The deal was that Omar could spend the last month out there with her once school got out. This is my favorite picture of the kids. Omar repeats this scene about 687 times a day. He loves his sister sooooo much. At the end of May the Yanks were famously 14 1/2 games behind the Red Sox. As of today they are only 1 1/2 games behind the Sox (with the edge in the tie breaker) with a week to play. Surprisingly, no one in Boston seems to have noticed. I was looking around Wikipedia. Progress at Ground Zero? Being that I am not in New York anymore I sometimes lose touch with the goings on in the city. After all of the hubbub following 9/11 there was a noticeable lack of chatter regarding the World Trade Center and it's revival. I followed a link earlier and ended up on the site for the new World Trade Center. And have to say that I like the direction in which it is headed. I don't know the politics of the situation or how much actual progress is being made, but there is a slide show.

OK Go - Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky. My last post was about OK Go and some observations their lead singer made about some of the issues the music industry is facing at the moment. Lost in the debate was the fact that OK Go has a new album out. I acquired. It today and have to say that I think it is pretty damn good. I liked Oh No. Plenty, but Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky. Is a surprisingly soulful album. Lose-Lose-Lose for OK Go, the Music Industry and us. The short version is that OK Go. All the same...
