Thursday, May 5, 2011. On April 14th, my nephew, Stephen Merrill, shattered a vertebrae in his neck, leaving him paralyzed. During the last 20 days, I have witnessed miracles in his recovery as his family and friends have joined in prayer, asking for his recovery. Stephen had just accepted a mission call to serve in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was wrapping up a successful freshman year at BYU. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Our neighbors hatch a few chicks every year. We admire their cuteness, and talk in a high-pitched squealy voice around them. When the novelty wears off (for them, not us), the chicks are sent to the grandparents' house to lay eggs and probably be turned into a casserole. Mia and her little friend.
