Building a Michener II. We have built a Ryan Homes Michener II in a development called Sadsbury Park. We would like to share our experience. Monday, March 19, 2012. With the warm weather well and truly upon us, I expect Ryan Homes will shortly be coming back to our home to work on the exterior. Our project manager promised to have everything pressure washed (lots of filth left over from construction). We have many areas that need painting, including all the shutters and columns. Our Venice in PA. Sunday, January 22, 2012. We have a foundation! We were so surprised to pull into our future cul-de-sac yesterday and see the foundation rising above our lot at the end of the street! Our PM told us that, weather permitting, they would pour it Thursday and Friday, but I just figured that it was going to be too cold for the cement to cure. It really feels like this is moving so fast - much faster than I ever imagined! Saturday, January 14, 2012. We had two exciting things happen yesterday.

Monday, October 31, 2011. WE HAVE CONCRETE SLAB IN GARAGE AND BASEMENT. Because of some nasty weather over the weekend, nothing was done on the lot since Friday. But today when hubby stopped by the house they were pouring our basement concrete floors. Even after seeing the snaps he has taken, I couldn't stop myself from going there in the evening. By the evening they completed garage and basement concrete slab. Garage view from front. Basement and morning room slab from backyard. OUR LUMBER IS HERE.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012. It's been 12 days since we close. Closing was like a walk in a park. Went very smoothly. We closed on 29th as scheduled. Some minor things ( paint touch up, rough spots on steps handrail etc) that our independent home inspector pointed before final walk through with PM , were taken care of before we came back with THE keys. Thursday, December 22, 2011. Last week they messed up installing the wrong carpet pad on all levels. But thanks to our super PM that issue got resolve in no time. Well this time it's our front door! Thursday, October 11, 2012. 10 Months inspection in Oct. last week. We received the letter from Ryan Homes stating that our 10 month inspection is going to be in the last week of October. It's been almost 2 weeks since we got the letter and my punch list is not ready yet. We have to send this list to RH ASAP now. The developer emailed us back saying he is going to send his landscaper this week to review the situation. Other than that very few # of items to go on the list that are from inside the house.
