Wednesday, April 2, 2014. It's hard to believe it was already a week ago that I was checking into The Hotel. At Kirkwood Center in preparation to attend the Beyond Rubies. While it's not standard practice to praise the competition, I have to give credit where credit is due. And this community college has definitely got it going on in the hospitality/culinary arts arena. I can say this because I grew up in the hospitality business. My first couple of jobs out of college were at The Worthington Hotel.

Not because of the endless preparation involved in cooking a family feast. He's just a slow eater. Regardless if he's the first to start eating, he's always the last to finish.
