Laquo; Lets Get This Thing Going! February 15, 2009 by Carrie. Giant leap into becoming what I believe God has called me to be: doula/midwife. So in March I will be attending a CAPPA. Doula workshop. I have also been talking with a friend/midwife about being her apprentice, we are both waiting on the Lord and praying about it. This really looks like things are going to finally start moving along. In a few days I will also “enroll” in a midwife to be course. Posted in My Journey. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

No epidural, no I.V.’s , and absolutely no repeat c-section! Uterus’ rupture and babies die! I felt like slapping her! I was not a part of any homebirth ...

Laquo; A Second Chance. Lets Get This Thing Going! February 1, 2009 by Carrie. In just the past two weeks I have heard of two different midwifery schools that teach traditional midwifery. Both are distance learning but one of them is super appealing to me. Its called “New Life Home Brith”. Posted in My Journey. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. What is a Certified Nurse-Midwife? I still have patients that think midwives deliver all babies at home. They also think that they must have natural childbirth to have a midwife delivery. Most Certified Nurse-Midwives delivery babies in the hospital and the patient can even have an epidural. Most Nurse-Midwives have a Master’s degree and are well trained to handle all medical emergencies. Nurse-Midwives can care for women throughout their entire life. This means that midwives perform physical exams, ...
