Monday, April 28, 2008. Benefit performance for Nora. Yesterday, the Design in Motion dance studio in Crofton, where Nora has dance lessons, put on a benefit performance for Nora. We were treated to an evening of entertainment and deserts. The dancers did a terrific job, including a performance by Nora's group. We really enjoyed ourselves. Here's Pirate Nora in her dance costume. This is Nora with Jeanne Mattis, owner of Design in Motion dance studio, Crofton, MD. Labels: Noras dance performance. If you ...

Sunday, May 18, 2008. Our Day at Ft McHenry. As you can see, the flag that we were raising is huge! It is a replica of the original that Lt Col Armistad ordered for the fort. He wanted the biggest flag ever! This is a shot of Halee and McKayela with the park ranger. The flag they are holding is actually the night time flag - which is much smaller than the one that they hoisted. Monday, May 12, 2008. This week, McKayela has decided to try her hand at blogging. She's been pestering me for a while to ge...

THE WILDTHAYNS: December 2009
http://wildthayn.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 30, 2009. We read and acted out the Nativity Scene with the kids. I love this part of Christmas. The kids are so sweet in remembering our Savior! Its like the quiet before the storm of Christmas morning. This year, we pulled off the ultimate surprise for the kids. Santa actually delivered Papa and Nana to us on Christmas morning! It always amazes me how quickly we go from perfect presents under the tree to "after the storm hit" the family room. We stayed for hours and enjoyed the view.

Friday, May 21, 2010. Isn't it funny how each child is so different from the others? Well, Nate is so fun and so different from our other 3. What a funny little boy he is! I just had to record that he still used a binky at night when he was 3. :). Thursday, May 6, 2010. I can't believe she's 10 already! Chris and Pat have been at every birthday cake cutting for 3 years! Oh, how we'll miss them! She loves her new bike. She has enjoyed riding it around the neighborhood! http://wildthayn.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 19, 2009. We left our home 4 weeks ago, and have had many adventures since. Here are a few of our adventures. We met up with our friends Ed and Becce Berg (and kids). In Savannah. Everywhere we went with our 7 kids, people just stared. Weird. Anyway, we climbed to the top of the Tybee Island Lighthouse. 178 steps to the top. We took a dolphin cruise through the intercoastal waterways near Savannah. they let the kids drive the boat. It was hilarious watching the kids eat them. Our life is a w...

Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Here are some of the things we've been up to lately. Jack refuses to smile like a normal human being. And, we must do everything in undies only because while potty training he manages to pee on everything.shirts and pants, so I just let him run around in undies! Anyway, this is Jack helping carve our pumpkin WHICH, I'll have you know, we grew in our very own garden! Here are a few pictures of the twins who smile all of the time now! Posted by Katie Smith. Carrol and I getting...

The Smith Family: My Quarterly Update
http://mikenkatiesmith.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-quarterly-update.html
Friday, April 9, 2010. Well, some major things have happened since my last post. The babies turned one which is absurd. Max started taking steps right around their first birthday and he is a full-fledged walker now. Evelyn is a little more timid but she's getting there. We took a trip to Lake Tahoe with Mike's family for a fantastic week away. We got to snowboard and Jack learned how to ski! So, here is the picture summary. Evelyn was loving it! Me and my 1 year old babies! I'm such a goober. There are p...

Just Another Day In Paradise. Having someplace to go is H.O.M.E. Having someone to love is F.amI.L.Y. Having both is a B.L.E.S.S.I.N.G. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. 51074 Miles–Lincoln Highway, Courthouse and Jail Rocks, Carhenge. Nebraska made me miss my Northwest mountains. It’s entirely too flat. After eight hours of byway I jumped back onto the freeway so that we could make good time to find a place to stay. But first, we had to see this…. 160; Where was she from? I hope she made it. Just Another Day In Paradise. Having someplace to go is H.O.M.E. Having someone to love is F.amI.L.Y. Having both is a B.L.E.S.S.I.N.G. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. On my mind…. A week ago today my friend’s mom passed away. Yesterday they held her funeral services. It was a mere three weeks from the time she was diagnosed to the time that she passed on. I have been thinking about his family all week. So this morning I am saying an extra prayer f. Or all those that have had to say good-bye too soon.

Just Another Day In Paradise. Having someplace to go is H.O.M.E. Having someone to love is F.amI.L.Y. Having both is a B.L.E.S.S.I.N.G. Friday, December 27, 2013. A Puppy for Christmas. Scott always told the kids we’d get another dog when I was ready. His thought was that I’d have to do most of the work, so it needed to be my choice. Well, I really didn’t want a dog so I kept telling the kids no. 48 hours later we had a dog! 160; Fortunately, my brother-in-law offered to take her while I was at work.
