There was an error in this gadget. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Charrette 2: Breville Kettle. So the product that we redesigned didn't change too much in terms of looks but manage to reduce the overall weight of the product by 20%. We also reduced the transport tonnes per kilometres from guangzhou to sydney from 10.11 t/km to 3.12 t/km. In our end of life, all parts of our product were all recyclable as compared to the almost nothing of the original product. Thursday, March 25, 2010. WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?

Tristan Dimitroff: TASK 2: OBJECTIFIED
http://tristan-dimitroff.blogspot.com/2010/03/task-2-objectified.html
Sunday, March 14, 2010. Inspiring, insightful, interesting, educational, enlightening and realy just exceptional are only a few of the words to describe the film by Gary Hustwit. After watching i couldnt help but imagine myself in the future as a designer. It made me somewhat excited. I began to think about what style of designer i would like to be and it even sparked a few ideas in my head. Why should we put up with poorly designed products? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tristan Dimitroff: September 2008
http://tristan-dimitroff.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Aft er recieving in the mail each christmas and birthday from my uncle an iTunes gift card, i realised that there can be more to a $20 card of music credit included in the package to better sense that you care about what the reciever is interested in. As shown in the instructions the case and card both pop out of the same piece of A4 EVA foam to be manipulated and folded to create the case. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Tristan Dimitroff: April 2010
http://tristan-dimitroff.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 19, 2010. TASK 4: DESIGN FOR LIFE. All in all a very entertaining show, it would be interesting to see how an intense few weeks of this would shape an up and coming designer, just as one of the students says, "i am his clay, he can shape me however he wants". Tuesday, April 6, 2010. CHARETTE #2 - BREVILLE REDESIGN. So basically the main aim of the redesign was to save money in production and also save the environment through env. friendly processes and materials. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tristan Dimitroff: TASK 5: CAP 'N' TRADE
http://tristan-dimitroff.blogspot.com/2010/06/task-5-cap-n-trade.html
Wednesday, June 23, 2010. TASK 5: CAP 'N' TRADE. So essentially another movie about how us as humans are destroying the world we live in. this however focusses on factory emissions and how we can reduce the amount of damage we are causing. It is then upto us as designers to design for this to help factories reduce emissions. this not only opens up new areas for design but will benefit multiple parties with 'one stone' (environment, organisations, designers). Tristan Dimitroff: TASK 3: 11th HOUR
http://tristan-dimitroff.blogspot.com/2010/06/task-3-11th-hour.html
Wednesday, June 23, 2010. TASK 3: 11th HOUR. An incredible insight into the sheer destruction we cause to the environment and planet we live on. What is interesting is that we as humans are aware of the future, unlike any other species. You would think that would put us ahead. right? Well maybe its dragging us behind? Would it be possible that by knowing the future we are infact limiting ourselves to what we can achieve for fear of making it worse? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). TASK 5: CAP N TRADE.
