Just Sketching: December 2007
http://jeffsketch.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2007. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of my blog readers! These were some of the initial sketches with 3 values applied. The value patterns show an overall mid with the lightest value at the center of interest and the darks creating the contrast at the center of interest. I was concentrating on creating interesting shapes and not "things". I created some small (6"x8") initial color studies. These also helped me to loosen up a bit before I dove in. Saturday, January 22, 2011. This watercolor was given as a gift to my good friend and parting NIFT President Ed. It was presented to him at our club's Winter Dinner. One of Ed's favorite places to fish is the Au Sable River in Michigan ( I am quite fond of it myself). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Sign up for our Email Newsletter.
