Jill's Intro to Lit Blog: Freedoms vs Security
http://jrcold-introtolit.blogspot.com/2011/02/freedoms-vs-security.html
Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Thursday, February 24, 2011. The saying goes, "You gotta give a little, to get a little", which is exactly what has to happen when discussing freedoms vs security. Its a balancing act and it always will be. February 27, 2011 at 4:28 PM. I really like the quote in your last paragraph, You gotta give a little, to get a little. I totally agree with you on that. We cant expect to get all freedom without a little security because then people would do whatever they feel like. Best fri...

Katie: Blog #4
http://kc7349.blogspot.com/2011/02/blog-4.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. I think that I could definetly live in a secluded environment for a year. I like technology, but getting away from it all would be nice. Once before my phone broke, and I didn't have it for a week. At first it was like going through withdrawal, but then it was nice because I wasn't at anyone's beck and call. February 11, 2011 at 8:15 PM. February 13, 2011 at 8:48 AM. Wasnt capable of any compassion and . isnt capable of any real emotion anymore. February 13, 2011 at 3:18 PM.

http://jrcold-introtolit.blogspot.com/2011/04/hunger-games.html
Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Friday, April 1, 2011. April 1, 2011 at 8:06 PM. I agree with your ideas. I liked the book as well. I think the songs that you picked for this fit well with the book. April 3, 2011 at 7:48 PM. You said you felt bad for Peeta, but I felt worse for Gale! April 3, 2011 at 9:55 PM. I agree with what you a hundred percent and I also think your song choices fit in perfect. I could hear both and I like how u painted a picture to go alone with them. Jill's Intro to Lit Blog: Censorship
http://jrcold-introtolit.blogspot.com/2011/04/censorship.html
Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Friday, April 8, 2011. A world with out books would be awful. We would lose all of our history, literature, tradition, and even part of our culture. The world would be full of people with a very limited amount of knowledge with very narrow minded views. People would have no way of understanding our world, how things work, or where we came from. "The more you read, the more you know.". April 11, 2011 at 7:39 AM. April 11, 2011 at 7:51 PM. I totally agree with your metaphor!

Jill's Intro to Lit Blog: The Kardashians Takeover
http://jrcold-introtolit.blogspot.com/2011/03/kardashians-takeover.html
Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Friday, March 25, 2011. The last episode was titled "A Dash of Respect". March 25, 2011 at 9:09 AM. They definitely have something going on up there(in their head). Arent they sort of using their celebrity (real or otherwise) to exploit us as viewers? Theyre making pretty big bucks off of us every time we tune in. March 26, 2011 at 8:48 AM. 1to take advantage of (a person, situation, etc), esp unethically or unjustly for ones own ends. 2 to make the best use of. I love this show!

Jill's Intro to Lit Blog: Thoreau Challenge Day #2
http://jrcold-introtolit.blogspot.com/2011/02/thoreau-challenge-day-2.html
Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Thursday, February 17, 2011. Thoreau Challenge Day #2. This will be my second day without technology. I feel kind of isolated from the world because I don't know what is really going on outside of my everyday life. I think the first day was the easiest to deal with, today has definitely been alittle harder. Its also different working out without my ipod too. The music I listen to is usually real upbeat and gets me pumped and motivated. I definitely miss it when I run.

Jill's Intro to Lit Blog: ADS that would appear in my Feed
http://jrcold-introtolit.blogspot.com/2011/02/ads-that-would-appear-in-my-feed.html
Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Saturday, February 19, 2011. ADS that would appear in my Feed. These are four ads that I think would come up in my feed a lot. Since the feed was sort of "all knowing" I figured it would know what I like and use it to tempt me to buy more of it. It was hard just to chose four, but I think these are definitlely in the top. (Click on the headings to watch the ads). February 20, 2011 at 10:38 AM. OK so I totally love your feed choices especially the one about pepsi! There was an er...

Katie: What have I learned?
http://kc7349.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-have-i-learned.html
Saturday, April 16, 2011. What have I learned? All in all, I think this was a course that made you think outside of the box, and also made you question authority. We have learned that giving someone (government? Control over even the smallest parts of your life could quite possibly affect you more than you might think it would, and could lead to more control. We have also learned about the violence in humanity. What is it about violence that draws us? Why do we enjoy watching it? April 17, 2011 at 7:50 AM.

Jill's Intro to Lit Blog. Thursday, April 14, 2011. The end is near. April 16, 2011 at 3:16 PM. I love your picture! And I must agree with you again on your feelings of second skin. Those people that had their health obviously didnt appreciate it. I also plan on adding the other two Hunger Games books to my summer reading collection! April 17, 2011 at 6:05 PM. I agree with you on writing the blogs. I thought it was just a hassle at first but it made me have to think outside the box. What have I learned?
