NYでの生活、旅、食、エッセイ。 Thursday, December 31, 2009. 年越しそばを食べました。イーストビレッジの蕎麦屋で生そばをゲット。でも家で茹でるとなんかいまいち。。。天ぷらとしめじでいただきました。ゆずが欲しかったけど、年末のスーパーは以上な行列。旦那様が気に入ってくれたので、一安心。 Thursday, December 10, 2009. 最近浸透しつつあるベネズエラのサンドイッチArepa(アレパ)のお店は、家の近所でもだんだん増えてます。小じゃれたお店が若者に人気。今回行ったShachisは、家族経営的で通り過ぎてしまいそうな外装ながら、気取らず美味しい物に目のない人にはお勧めです。 メインは NY Times review. ここのアレパがこんなにボリュームあるとは知らず、イエローライスとチキンのチャーハン的な物も注文。少し食べて残りはお持ち帰り。店員の伯父さんは頼み過ぎだよと忠告してくれたけど、お家で堪能しました。 Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). NYでの生活、旅、食、エッセイ。 Wednesday, February 25, 2009. 最近はまっているメキシコ料理のお店。タコサンタナ。私はいつもタコスをオーダー。香辛料の聞いた豚肉カルネエンチラダは、私には辛すぎるけど味は抜群。小さなキッチンを夫婦で切り盛りしてるので、ちょっと待つこともしばしば。待ってる間は、メキシコでよく飲まれるソーダ水や、サトウキビ砂糖を使ったメキシコ生産のコーラを飲んじゃいます。 トスタダと呼ばれるタコスっぽい料理も私のお気に入り。かりっと揚げたトルティーヤに、煮込まれた豆のペースト、チキンやポークなどのお肉とレタス、メキシカンチーズがのった料理です。 下ゆでから。。。 中華スーパーで生のタケノコを見つけ、感動して買っちゃいました。日本の実家で皮の付いたタケノコが水に浸かっていたのを覚えてるけど、どうやって下茹でするのか知りませんでした。インターネットは新しいレシピだけじゃなく、お母さんやお婆ちゃんの知恵まで見つけられますよね。 だし汁でブロッコリと一緒にサッと煮ました。薄味、外国人には無味、な日本の味です。 昆布だしに醤油、酒、みりん...唐辛子のペーストがセー...

NYでの生活、旅、食、エッセイ。 Sunday, February 20, 2011. 1 or 8 寿司. 子供ができると、ブログのアップロードする時間もないというか、怠け者なだけですが。 さてさて、ウィリアムズバーグに我々日本人が満足できるお寿司屋さん登場！その名も 1or8. Jewel BakoにいたKazuさんが板長さん。明るい店内は、ベッドフォード通りから少し外れた静かなロフトを改造したもので、モダンなのに大人も若者も、そして日本人も西洋人も落ち着ける雰囲気。Kazuさんを含め、従業員さんも子持ちの人が多いので、子連れでも暖かくもてなしてくれます。チビと一緒だったので回転早々の６時くらいに行ったら、まだ静かでカウンターに座らせてもらいました。バギーもカウンターにドックさせて。 友達に勧められた餃子は、焼き餃子なのに点心のような軽さ。ぷりぷりのエビとクレソンが爽やか。生ガキも３種類オーダー。サービスでいただいたアペは、甘エビともろみそを使ったもので、日本酒にぴったり。 Thursday, February 4, 2010.
