Why KDE bindings simply rock (or: Creating our first Ruby plugin for Kate). Akademy really speeds up development and communication between developers:. Yesterday I was poked by Milian Wolff and he told me how many people want to write Kate plugins in languages other than C and ECMAScript and how he always told them that’s not possible and probably a huge amount of work to get working. Well, that wasn’t entirely true:. Kv = self.mainWindow.activeView kv.insertText 'Hello World! The main class name is the ...

Hacking the Linux kernel with KDevelop | gnurou.org
http://www.gnurou.org/code/kdevelop-kernel
Just your average bearded geek. Linux on NVIDIA SHIELD and Tegra Note. Kernel hacking with KDevelop. De la bonne manière de poser les questions. Internet and Linux resources for learning Japanese. How to locate a Japanese address. Hacking the Linux kernel with KDevelop. But when I finally managed to configure the beast to work correctly on a reasonnably-sized project just to realize it is way too slow to be usable, I just dropped the whole Emacs thing in despair. There is of course CTags. Unfortunately f...

Qalculate backend for Cantor | ScienceKDE
https://sciencekde.wordpress.com/2011/08/23/qalculate-backend-for-cantor
KDE for scientific work. Qalculate backend for Cantor. On August 23, 2011. A very popular request on the Qalculate forums is a port of the KDE3 interface to KDE4. While there is no progress that I know of on this task, there is now an alternative for KDE users: using Cantor. As a graphical interface. As some you already noticed, I have recently pushed a new branch, called qalculate-backend, into the Cantor git repository. If someone is interested in contributing, please leave a comment below! Yes, krunne...

Cantor in 4.6 is gonna rock! | arieder's Blog
https://arieder.wordpress.com/2010/08/18/cantor-in-4-6-is-gonna-rock
Just some KDE stuff. Cantor in 4.6 is gonna rock! The last release of Cantor didn’t have many new things to show off. I was busy with university so it mostly just got minor bug fixes. But for the next release you can expect a great amount of additional awesomeness. And the best thing? I didn’t have to code any of it! All the cool new features were written by new faces. 8211; Text cells that can contain richtext. This one was written by Raffaele. 8211; Octave Backend. 8211; improved R backend. So prepare ...

Getting my swap back | A simple coder's blog
https://nwoki.wordpress.com/2012/05/02/getting-my-swap-back
A simple coder's blog. Getting my swap back. Lately my pc was slowing down when using KDevelop and Chromium together and completely froze when I launched amarok as well. Something was up but I couldn’t quite figure what it was. I kept on thinking that it was my laptop (an acer 5930g – yes, the one that still suffers from the acpi bug. 263 ) until I noticed in my htop. That my swap was 0/0MB. I don’t know what caused it to be like that but in the end I solved the problem with. A few lines from my konsole.

How to Run Multiple Firefox Versions on Linux. January 22, 2011, 12:02 am. So, you have your stable (or not) version of Firefox installed on your Linux distribution from your package manager. The problem is, if you want to have another version and be able to run it concurrently with the current one, your package manager will replace it, so you can only have one version installed at a time. Download the nightly binary from the latest trunk builds. Export LD LIBRARY PATH=/home/yourname/Applications/firefox.

KDE Stuff: More work on Konqueror's User Scripts
http://namshub-kde.blogspot.com/2007/01/more-work-on-konquerors-user-scripts.html
Saturday, January 20, 2007. More work on Konqueror's User Scripts. I'm currently reading as much doc as I can on KJS, KHTML and related parts so I can evaluate what's needed for full GreaseMonkey support in the Konqueror User Script Plugin. I won't attack the "core" until I know exactly what I'm doing so I worked a bit on the "shell" (namely, the user interface). Since the goal of this plugin (code named Kuskus. A Status Bar icon (which duplicates the "Tools" menu entry). Great, keep up the good work!

“Look at it again!” | Keeping Computing Personal

8220;Look at it again! December 4, 2009 at 5:28 am · Filed under KDE. Do you want a stable and bug-free KDE Workspace? You certainly do. But before I talk about bugs, let me chat a bit about myself. Being a math teacher is not easy; your students hate you for that fact alone. And I have a habit that makes them hate me even more: When there is something wrong with their math, I usually do not help immediately. Instead, I keep saying “look at it again! 8221;, not even telling them where. Said bug often hap...
