Monday, February 18, 2008. It's been a busy new year here at Milkmaid Press, as our home and work family has expanded with the adoption of a rescue kitten that we've named Gracie. She's a very sweet little girl who loves playing with string, her very own anthropolgoie shopping bag turned cave, and giving us eskimo kisses while we work. It's been hard getting any work done, with Gracie serving as a very cute and cuddly distraction! Here are her first photos for you to enjoy! The People behind the Press.

Friday, March 28, 2008. Here is the storyboard we used when creating the suite Mandarin for a Couple who wanted to celebrate the joining of their varied Asian-American heritage. Both loved deep, crimson reds traditionally used in Chinese Weddings, as well as bright, spring greens that felt both modern, and distinctly natural, themes they wanted conveyed throughout their wedding stationery. Thursday, May 8, 2008. Easy like Sunday Morning. One of my newest discoveries that I'm really enjoying are the comfortable, stylish shoes from Easy Spirit! I know, I know, Easy Spirit is the simple little sneaker my Mom wears because she's older and has hip and back issues, but I found the cutest little patent-red, peep-toe wedges and much to my shock, learned they were Easy Spirits! They are comfortable, stylish, and all in all, a really delightful. And comfort mavens, and they were under $100.

Tuesday, January 15, 2008. A rusty little press. We started this week cleaning and prepping our recently acquired Golding Official #12! With help from hubby nic nichols and father-in-law lee, we started disassembling the bohemoth table top press to soak in the suggested vinegar and lemon juice cocktail that many posts assured would easily remove rust. Preparation Time : 5 minutes. Cooking Time : 30 minutes. Milkmaid : 1 tin. Paneer : 1/2 kg. Full cream milk powder : 2 heaped tbsp. Powdered Sugar : 2 tbsp. Maida : 1 heaped tbsp. Blend all the ingredients to get a smooth paste. (you could use a mixture). Heat the mixture in a thick bottom pan. Once heated, reduce flame and cook on slow heat, stirring continuously for 15 to 20 minutes or till dry enough. Pour onto a greased plate and cool. Cut into desired shapes.
