This past weekend, Doug and I took a quick trip to Lake George (in upstate New York) to visit his parents at their lake house. On Saturday morning, I woke up to a plate full of the delicious chocolate pancakes pictured above. These might very well be the yummiest - and healthiest! Here's the recipe (and some pictures from the weekend if you care to see):. 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour. 4 teaspoons baking soda.

Then, about five months ago, I started to eat red meat again mainly because I just started craving it like crazy (and out of nowhere), so I figured my body was trying to tell me something. And the message was clear - it's time to eat a hamburger. About the negative health ramifications of eating meat (think cancer and heart disease).
