Heavy impasto is layered to create rich topographies which embody the processes of investigation and discovery. The use of paint is fresher, heavier, and more playful in this series than in previous pieces. I haven't been afraid to revisit compositions and alter them entirely if they aren't quite "working out". I will be uploading photos as I take them to a portfolio in the nav bar at the right.
