Mini-IMP Model C

THE MINI-IMP MODEL C. The Model C version of the Mini-IMP is the long nose version which was developed after the prototype was flown with the Limbach converted VW engine. The Model C is powered with the Continental O-200 engine (100 HP at sea level at full throttle). The Model C also incorporates a larger baggage compartment and the nose is lengthened 12 inches so that the pilot sits one foot further forward of the main bulkhead. When ordering kits be sure to advise of your preference in this regard.

Amphibious aircraft, the IMP (also known as the Ascent 1 Tribute) and of course the Mini-IMP and Micro-IMP. Molt put his heart and soul into the idea of making aviation safer, more enjoyable and more available to the general public. He was justly proud of every one of his designs. He wrote regularly for Sport Aviation,. And other aviation magazines on everything from engine selection to static testing of aircraft parts. Molt was a man of vision and inspiration and was officially inducted into the EAA.

Information on 2-Place Tail-Pusher Aircraft. Many potential builders are interested in the possibility of stretching the Mini-IMP to make it a 2-place. We have studied this possibility for some time and have come to the conclusion that it is NOT practical to try to modify the original Mini-IMP structure or concept to make it accommodate 2 people no matter how big or small they might be. The only way this might be done, would be to sweep the wings forward. This would require a completely redesigned concept.
