Droppings From the Mind of Alyx. A Friendly Debate . . . Cell Phones. This blog came about because an author friend (the supremely talented, Camille Minichino). And I began a debate on Facebook about cell phones and whether or not people were spending too much time on them. Camille suggested we turn it into a double blog ( hers is posted here. And I thought it was a great idea. We’ve enjoyed it so much that this might become a semi-regular thing for us, so stay tuned! We’re not too far off, Alyx, but I a...

Comments Off on Saturday night’s all right for cop shows …. PBS is looking good for Saturdays although it’s very odd when an established program changes its main characters, especially if you’ve missed any transition. So far, the story is still ticking along, but the only character from the previous programs is Dennis Waterman. 8216;s up next.

Writer of mysteries, science-fiction and quality management systems! Thursday, July 11, 2013. Review of Darkness Roams by Nomar Knight. Having met and spent time with the author in Puerto Rico, I understand his numerous references to the beautiful island in Darkness Roams. Although a great read, some seems aren’t for the weak of heart. Or stomach. Knight describes in gritty detail Oscuro’s eternal punishment of his victims. His depictions are graphic and leave little to the imagin...Penned by Alex Morgan.

Welcome to My Words. Posted by Claire M. Johnson. Asymp; 3 Comments. This process is becoming more of a meta experience as opposed to an actual publishing experience. I’m caught in the wall between old way of doing business and the limits of new technology. I walked into my local Barnes and Noble this week. Roux Morgue: Book Review: The Magician's Land by Lev Grossman
http://clairemjohnson.blogspot.com/2014/12/book-review-magicians-land-by-lev.html
Saturday, December 27, 2014. Book Review: The Magician's Land by Lev Grossman. We come to the third and final book in the Lev Grossman Magician's trilogy. I almost loved the first book, I didn't like the second book, and the third book leaves me disgruntled. I also felt the ending was acceptable, although there was more of a "this is the way it needs to be" as opposed to "this is why it's happening." That said, the "death" of Fillory seemed manufactured to me. I kept asking why is it dying? Quentin's bor...
