A Day in the Life: July 2014
http://meghanandsteve.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
I started this post at the beginning of July and I'm just getting around to writing more. It's been an exhausting, busy few weeks. I honestly don't think we could have done it without Suds' help. She stayed here for almost two full weeks, unpacking boxes, putting stuff away, decorating, making curtains, and keeping Emma happily entertained. Suds might be Emma's favorite person in the whole wide world. Luckily she's adapting to just having me and Steve again :-). Other things Emma's up to. She still l...

A Day in the Life: January 2015

Emma is 2 (marathon post)! I've been working on this post for a month, so it's lengthy like usual. If you're here for the photos, I'm hopeful to go through photos this weekend. Hopeful is the keyword :-) That's really how you can see what we've been up to (and see all the fun people that have visited us)! I'm not sure how she is already two! Although honestly I can't remember my life before she was born and what I did with all my time before! Here is what our sweet pea is up to these days. She also loves...

A Day in the Life: May 2014

16 months and counting. Be warned. It's a long, long post. Just trying to put it all down so I can look back and remember what Emma was like at 16 months. It's random tidbits as I think of them. Hope you enjoy! She knows what it means, that's for sure! Pretty much every night, she wants to climb on the bed and have tickle/ wrestle time. She loves it. She gets all silly and likes jumping around on the pillows. It's excessively fun! We went to the water spray park the other day, and she sat right next to o...

A Day in the Life: Emma!
http://meghanandsteve.blogspot.com/2014/12/emma.html
Ok, this is long over due. I started writing this post a month ago :-) And it's shameful that I still haven't gone through my photos. I have high hopes for doing that over Christmas break since I"m off work all week since Emma's daycare is closed. In terms of language development, she's doing really well. I think her favorite sentence is "Watch Mickey Mouse." Ha! We're definitely not winning parents of the year with her TV time, but she LOVES Mickey Mouse. And we've been sick a lot, so sometimes it's...

The teacher is super impressed because she knows her colors pretty well. So she's been letting Emma choose the color of the paper and marker. She has just recently started singing. I'm not sure how this started exactly, but I know we had asked her about her music class that she has at school. We just learned about it. A music lady comes in every other Wednesday (which luckily is a day she's typically at school). Anyways, her singing is out of control cute. Daddy" Pretty darn cute. She's been calling ...

Then she'll tell me that she's scared. I guess she gets this from me. I do not like bugs. I'm not looking forward to the roaches in our house either. Thankfully we have a bug service so we haven't seen too many roaches yet. Oh the joy of living in the woods. On the plane ride home, she kept asking to go back to Tennessee. I think that Emma thinks that Tennessee is Suds and Pops home. When we were driving around in Memphis, she kept asking to go back to Tennessee :-). Cuddles with one of Emma's favorites!

Right now she LOVES her daddy. Whenever I'm home with her, she asks about him all day long. Or if we're sitting to have lunch, she'll point to her daddy's chair and repeatedly say his name. Pretty cute. At night, her new favorite activity with Steve is playing under a blanket, or as she calls it a "tent." She thinks it's excessively fun! Emma is about 19.5 months. She's been spending lots of time with family for the past 3 weeks. Suds was in town for about a week, then Steve's mom came to tow...She's bee...

We made it through another appointment with the pediatrician. Emma is not a fan! I guess what kid would be? He said most kids start to do a little better with appointments by 2-3yo. So I'm hopeful this won't always be so difficult. For her statistics, Dr.Higginbotham said that she's right on track compared to her previous visits. Head Circumference 48cm (I forget exactly where she falls in terms of percentile- but I think it was around 95th-97th percentile). Here are some April photos on Picasa. In the l...

Suds update and our soon to be new house! On a different note all together, here are some photos of our (soon to be) house. Ok, I couldn't narrow them down. So be ready for photo overload! Eat in kitchen with skylights. One of my favorite parts of the house. There is a beautiful backyard (although not the most kid friendly). I am making a promise to myself now that I will get Emma a good backyard to play in at our next house. A photo of the dining room, taken from the kitchen. Another photo in the den.
