February 7, 2015 · 3:23 am. The air is soft. It parts the ways. As I drift content. Through a chemical haze. And birds fly higher. On the high wire. And me, in my journey. Seek to traipse over. The moments I miss. The taking of life. As the stopped clock winds down. Marching onward towards silence. And the earthworm’s crown. And still now, I dwell here,. And hide from the hunger. World Bank: disguise, wire, chemical, bloom. Leave a Comment Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

The Wish →. August 7, 2013 · 2:20 pm. Slipping between the cool sheets. I lie, cushioned on softness. Feeling the silky smooth fabric. Caress my naked body,. Pressing in on all sides. In all the right places. Softly, the light fades. Outside my curtained window. The velvet darkness surrounds me. I’m soon to be. I close my eyes. And drift to dreams. Floating, flying, falling. From the last vestiges of consciousness. Into fluid, weightless wonder. Filed under General Poetry. The Wish →. On Savor the Night.

Savor the Night →. August 5, 2013 · 8:20 am. It’s only at night. When the hours limp by. Like broken horses, as they pass. When my mind turns to you again. My veteran of plastic bracelets. Nurse’s stations, too white walls. You were a fistful of sand I could not hold. You blew through my life. Like a sudden storm. Fierce with bursts of thunder. And all too brief. A million little deaths. In the silences between the days. I remember you, my friend. I will never forget you. Poetry of Grief and Emotion.

Misplaced Baggage | Warning: Interpretations may vary
Warning: Interpretations may vary. October 26, 2008 in Adoptee. Where has the time gone? Thinking about it makes me want to scream at woman considering giving up their babies to stop. Do they understand the vulnerable position in which they place us? Did they ever consider it? I’m sure many were convinced they were doing what was best for themselves and their babies. Maybe they were in some situations, but it doesn’t feel like it from where I’m standing now. It ain’t coca cola, it’s rice. Everybody they ...

Hence I don’t have any ambitions other than, I suppose, to have people read my stuff. That would be an achievement of sorts. Which writers inspire you? So, what have you written? I am workin...

Misplaced Canadian | Follow my adventures outside of Canada!
Follow my adventures outside of Canada! Canadian Discoveries in California #10: Yelp. So I hit 10. And there’s still so much to learn about California. At least I have a few more years left to become a (in Katy Perry’s words) “California Gurl”. Haha! Before I got to Berkeley, I had no idea what Yelp was. We just didn’t have that kind of thing in Toronto, at least that I am aware of. So while I do appreciate the horrible experiences Yelp could save me, I must admit there haven’t been many prevented ...

Misplaced chef - Home
Hello, welcome to my site. In 2013 I decided to write a cookery book. A gathering of recipes: some that I´d brought from Northern Europe and adapted to this region; others picked up whilst working. In a few key Algarve kitchens and needless to say, still more gained by exhaustive investigation in the form of eating and drinking. Though not gathered in any chronological order they’re an accurate record of the dishes I’ve been cooking here, in and around Tavira, a small town in the East Algarve.
