Dreams / I will do. Adoption, Single Motherhood and my life. I have a Birth Aunt. Asymp; 2 Comments. I’m not sure if you are aware but me placing T is not where Adoption entered my life. My Mom is adopted. I have always know and so has she. and when I placed T I felt that in a weird way our family had gone full circle. I am still in shock but incredibly angry that my grandparents lied maybe because I understand the implications more than most. I have tried to make sense of it but I cant at the moment.

What happens in seven years. January 12, 2016. So much changes, yet so much stays the same. Seven years ago I met my daughter for the first time. That moment I looked at her sweet face, I knew things would never be the same again. And they weren’t. Yet, in all this time, my little girl has grown up and blossomed. From that clingy unhappy baby that no-one could look after except for mommy and daddy, to the confident lovable little girl you are today. We love you to the moon and back. November 19, 2015.

May 17, 2014. It’s been almost a year since I last updated this little blog of mine. So much has changed, but so much has stayed the same. We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and life. I worked hard and I was promoted. I struggled to find a balance between work and home. I still do. I jumped into the Indian ocean and swam with dolphins. It was exhilarating. A mandatory rest period. June 5, 2013. I’m taking a mandatory rest break today. My body aches, my throat is on fire and my chest is closed as tight as a treasure box. Our kitchen counter boasts a range of Med Lemon, Disprin, ACC200, Vitamin C Immune Booster, homeopathic flu granules, Stilpayne and asthma meds. It’s a concoction of hope. Hope that anyone of these might just be the cure to magically feeling better. But it’s an empty basket of hope if it’s missing one thing, rest. I want to be available....
