Friday, October 24, 2014. New School and other September Fun. September brought a new preschool for Caroline. So far, she loves it. I think that they must sing all day long since she knows about twelve new songs. I've had to google the lyrics for a few of them. The school is farther from our house, but only about 10 blocks and on the way to school. She also got her first haircut. The mullet was just getting a little out of control. She had a great time on Halloween handing out candy to kids in our front yard. We decided to skip the house to house trick or treating - maybe next year. She also knows "quack, quack" for what a duck says and "moo" for what a cow says - these are in the past few days. However, there are other times when I'm not really sure that we're making much progress (see below exchange). We were reading through a book recently, I pointed to a duck and said, "duck.". Caroline said "duck.". So excited, went to the next page and pointed to a frog and said, "frog.".
