Nat's Adventures Abroad: An Average Week
http://natsadventuresabroad.blogspot.com/2011/02/average-week.html
Friday, February 4, 2011. 9829; Madrid♥. SO, this week was a pretty normal week, full of classes, friends, good food and the Spanish language. I do have to put a disclaimer about the word "average." An average. Unfortunately (it's not really that unfortunate, but) I will be leaving this beautiful city tomorrow to go to Dublin Ireland where Anna, Ariel, Maddy and I are sure to have countless adventures. Hopefully I'll actually have a point to my post when we return on Sunday! Not only am I looking forward...

Nat's Adventures Abroad: El Rastro, Teleférico Madrid, and McDonald's
http://natsadventuresabroad.blogspot.com/2011/02/el-rastro-teleferico-madrid-and.html
Wednesday, February 2, 2011. El Rastro, Teleférico Madrid, and McDonald's. This doesn't do the Palacio Real justice, but here it is! Madds and Me at Príncipe Pío. We walked a few blocks from the mall, up a hill along a side road and finally found it! We only got lost once, so that was great! And I got a coke–which doesn't really sound like a big deal, but when cokes cost 5 euro at a restaurant, and you're one a strict budget, coke becomes a luxury. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). ¡Viva España!: They speak Greek in Greece
http://ahyams.blogspot.com/2011/05/they-speak-greek-in-greece.html
Un semestre y pico en un país fenomenal. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. They speak Greek in Greece. We willingly moved, but the ferry guy wouldn't tell us where we were supposed to sit instead. He just kept telling us we were in this couple's seats. Eventually we managed to communicate our confusion and he got some deck chairs for us and placed them in the middle of the hallway by the stairs. Comfy, no? We had a chill night reading our books and went to bed early. Walking along the pathway. And grabbed lunch a...

¡Viva España!: March 2011
http://ahyams.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Un semestre y pico en un país fenomenal. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Family, Salmon and Bullfighting. This is my backyard. My friend the moose. Gabi, Nuria and me with our Happy Spring treats from Nuria. Side note: I wish I had gotten a lung scan before I left the US so I could get another one when I get back and see how many second hand smoke effects build up over six months.). The governor of the bull fight. It's like a dance! The parade before the fights start. Warming up those capes! Granada is at the s...

¡Viva España!: January 2011
http://ahyams.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Un semestre y pico en un país fenomenal. Monday, January 31, 2011. Stripes, Sleepovers and Revenge. Everything is about what's on your feet! Anyways, at the mall we wandered around, stopping at all of the shops that sold boots. I'm on the hunt for a pair of my own so that I don't have to borrow Gabi's anymore. (Thanks roomie! My friend really likes seals. We ended up back at the mall waiting for Heather to join us so we could go on an aerial cable car tour of Madrid. After that I came home and amazingly ...

Nat's Adventures Abroad: IRELANDA
http://natsadventuresabroad.blogspot.com/2011/02/irelanda.html
Saturday, February 12, 2011. It seems as thought the longer I am in Spain, the less I blog! I'm sorry for this trend, but I know that you are all DYING to hear about my trip to Ireland last weekend! With our super cheap sandwiches! Madds, Anna, and me outside the storehouse! Dublin Skyline from the Gravity bar. We entered the airport and were immediately greeted by sings IN ENGLISH. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to see my native language clearly displayed on every sign! We love each other?

¡Viva España!: Two conclusions
http://ahyams.blogspot.com/2011/05/two-conclusions.html
Un semestre y pico en un país fenomenal. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. 1) Europe is amazing. 2) People are amazing. Me, Vaughn and Anna with one of the coolest, most active couples we met in our B/M/P adventure. Or you can have people like Martin Luther King Jr who are awesome because their actions leave you in awe of the fact that they had that much courage and faith in humanity to make a positive difference.
