Ellie Langley - PAPER...: A tree is a perennial woody plant...
http://ellielgraphicdesign.blogspot.com/2011/02/tree-is-perennial-woody-plant.html
Ellie Langley - PAPER. TEARFOLD.RIP.CREASE.CUT. Tuesday, 1 March 2011. A tree is a perennial woody plant. BUT today it is a perennial PAPER plant! The first thing I tried is just a simple 'cartoon' style tree, which is a very straight forward way. I believe this is how I used to draw trees when I was younger! This, of course, is a tree with leaves! So I tried cutting out a tree with branches, that wasn't too complicated! Of course, not really helpful or relevant for my project. But still good. One slit h...

Ellie Langley - PAPER...: Excitement...
http://ellielgraphicdesign.blogspot.com/2011/03/excitement.html
Ellie Langley - PAPER. TEARFOLD.RIP.CREASE.CUT. Sunday, 6 March 2011. While looking at some of my fellow student's blogs, I came across an artist that a few people have used for inspiration. Su does these amazing paper sculptures, using old books at her base. They caught my eye mainly because of the trees of course. but I just love this style. I absolutely LOVE these! It's like each one tells it's own story! The trees have been done beautifully, and stand up quite perfectly! Sunday, March 06, 2011.

Adam Woolley: short apple animation
http://adamwoolleydesigns.blogspot.com/2011/05/short-apple-animation.html
Thursday, 5 May 2011. After doing the primary drawings of my characters I edited each set movement where the face changes and the eyes move in different direction. I added the cut out effect to them all and put it into after effects as a jpeg sequence and made a short animation of how the face will change on each individual shot. Take a look and see what I mean. Below is the scene selection I edited in Photoshop there is only 12 shots. In my animation some will be repeated and moved around.

my bloggy woggy: more paper nature experiments
http://aligraphix.blogspot.com/2011/03/more-paper-nature-experiments.html
Digital sketchbook scribblings (:. Tuesday, 1 March 2011. More paper nature experiments. Here are some outcomes from my water lilly paper session. I found the task very time consuming and would further develop this by scanning my drawing and exporting it into a c.a.d. software where I could duplicate designs and cut out using the laser machine. http://bethgraphics.blogspot.com/2011/04/print-to-pixel-my-story.html
Blogging is all crazy and new. Monday, 11 April 2011. PRINT TO PIXEL - My Story. These are the pages of notes I jotted down about my chosen animation. I will have an ape evolving into a man (from earlier research) and also include the repeat patterns around the edge in time with the music. I also drew out the start, middle and end frames of my storyboard and had a small brainstorm about what background could be used. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Excuse the shoddy quality, blogger didnt like quality sizes). The way the sculpture moves is very like how plants and flowers move during the day, following the sun. This completes the nature and repetition theme and completes the project. Me interacting with the piece - viewer enjoyment. Thursday, 10 March 2011. The company name has been stencilled onto a...

http://bethgraphics.blogspot.com/2011/05/print-to-pixel-my-images.html
Blogging is all crazy and new. Thursday, 5 May 2011. PRINT TO PIXEL - My Images! I drew out some sketchbook pages on what I did and how I created each of the frames. Each image was edited in Photoshop before then Importing them in to After Effects and cutting each image to last only one frame. I opened up the image I scanned in earlier in Photoshop so that I could edit it and keep just the figures outline. I then selected the outline and saved it as a photoshop document to then use later on. By having th...

Ellie Langley - PAPER...: March 2011
http://ellielgraphicdesign.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Ellie Langley - PAPER. TEARFOLD.RIP.CREASE.CUT. Thursday, 10 March 2011. Last editions to final Poster design. The grid that I've used to arrange my poster is 4x4. It is arranged so that the '100 years of GF Smith Paper' type is in the top half, and then the 'Design Museum' and '1-31 July 2011' type is in the 3rd quarter down. This looks so much better, as it's duller, but fits in a lot better with the hole design of the poster. So this is my FINAL FINAL FINAL design. Which I'm getting printed! This, obv...

Jays Blog: 3 Pointer
http://jaylodge.blogspot.com/2011/04/3-pointer.html
In one of the workshop sessions Adam Wooley. And myself made a quick 36 frame animation, this was just a quick excersise to familiarise ourselves with how to create a stop motion drawn clip. We therefore decided on a simple idea that would not take much time to create but would still let us practice and use the tools required. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
