Thursday, 26 March 2015. Last stages at the Clinique Ster. A week or so ago they told me I'd be going home around 2 April, maybe sooner. Now I know it will be 31 March - hooray! Sunday, 8 March 2015. Starting life at the clinic. A day and a half at the clinic and I am beginning to find my feet (one slightly more comfortable than the other just now) and to know how things work. The full title is the Clinique de Rééducation et de Réadapation Fonctionnelle. The website is here. I'll have 3½. The view from my 3rd floor room. As you can see, the dining space though is light and airy. Enough for now - I'll write later in the week about my progress and the process of re-education.

The treatment only takes a fraction of the day, and there are hours of longueur, but I don't think I could manage more - resting is also very much part of the recovery process. I have lots to read! In conversation around the meal table last week I was reminded that these few weeks in the clinic are just the start of the recovery process - people who leave are told they have at least another month's convalescence, no driving and no housework.
